If you’re on facebook or twitter you may have seen the 30 day squat and plank challenges making the rounds, they vary but they’re all similar. Now I’m the kind of person that wants an amazing body but doesn’t really like to exercise but this doesn’t take up too much time so I thought I would give it a go.
Today is day 9 so I had 100 squats to do and 1 minute of plank. Now apart from walking I haven’t done much since having Aryana 9 months ago so my muscles aren’t particularly great but so far I’m managing ok. I have found that it’s best to do 50 squats, the plank and then do the rest afterwards, I have a baby to look after so not being able to walk up and down the stairs while carrying a baby is not an option and I think it’s better to do it in 2 lots than not at all!
And now for the good bit, I measured myself this morning and I’ve lost almost an inch of my waist already! I haven’t measured my hips because the saggy baby belly is still there and tbh I don’t want to know what I measure. And no I’m not dieting, I watch what I eat although last week was a bit of a naughty week. It’s really encouraged me to stick with it, make sure I eat well and work out more. I’ve also just bought a replacement battery pack for my slendertone units so I’ll be using the ab and arm one. Now that Aryana has started to sleep though the night (almost 2 weeks now since her first tooth came through!!) I feel like I have so much more energy and no excuses!
