Cardiospermum Gel For Itchy Eczema

I was very kindly sent a pot of the Cardiosperum Gel by, actually I was sent 2 as I have a friend who’s son has severe eczema which differs to the eczema my girls have and so I thought it would be great for us both to give it a good try.

My girls don’t have eczema severely and I manage to keep it under control but they do have a flare up now and again.

Lily – Lily’s recently turned 8 and when her eczema flares it’s usually on the body and tends to be itchy. This gel was amazing for her skin, firstly it’s a gel so it’s cooling and most importantly, dries quickly! Which is a big plus point when we’re applying in the morning under her tights before school, the last thing you want is to be able to feel a product under your tights! It worked very quickly and in only 2 days the irritation was under control, it usually takes longer when we use an emollient.

Aryana – She’s only 3 and tends to get dry, irritated skin rather than it being itchy, mainly on her face. This wasn’t suitable for her, I used it on a small patch of skin to test and her skin went red almost instantly but that’s because I believe her skin flares up through dehydration, she needs hydration and so I didn’t think this would be suitable.

My friend, now she had fabulous results! Her son suffers very badly, his hands in particular and she’s used the gel when his skin has become itchy instead of using their usual steroid cream and she said it’s worked to sooth the skin, removing the itch and leaving his skin softer, she also prefers that it’s a gel over a cream. The fact that she can use this instead of a steroid is fantastic! Steroids can thin the skin so anything that can replace or at least reduce use of a steroid is very much worth a try!

The gel is £9.95 for 100ml but a little goes a long way, it can be purchased HERE. The products are cruelty free and from checking the ingredients I believe it’s Vegan friendly but if you are Vegan, it’s worth checking to be 100%.

I’m really pleased with how effective this gel was for itchy skin and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone that has to treat their skin with steroids.
