I’m a little late in writing about the Cocoa Brown event that took place last month but I’m one of those people who like to test products when I need to rather than testing for no reason and last weeks unexpected sunshine was the perfect opportunity to test Cocoa Brown’s latest product, lovely legs.
New Cocoa Brown LOVELY LEGS Spray is the latest innovative self-tanning product from Marissa Carter, a tanning make-up that you spray directly onto your legs, instantly giving you a natural, bronzed Cocoa Brown tan.
Cocoa Brown Lovely Legs Spray raises the beauty bar with a product that delivers on 3 different levels:
- Instantly gives your legs a natural, bronzed Cocoa Brown tan.
- Water resistant so won’t streak if you get caught in the rain.
- Will give you confidence that skin imperfections appear smoother and less visible
During the winter and spring I don’t always tan my whole body and just concentrate from my bum up, in Wales we don’t often get the chance to get our legs out. So when we had amazing sun last week there was no way I could wear a dress without leggings and expose pasty, white legs while the top half was tanned. Thank god for lovely legs!
To use you spray on to a mitt and then buff in to the skin. First lesson, less is more. For my first use I sprayed the pad for about 5 seconds, applied and had a very fake looking, barbie doll leg…..too much! A quick wash in the sink and I was ready to start again. This time I sprayed a small amount on to the pad and buffed it in. Here’s my before and after picture, I was really pleased with the results.
It’s so easy to apply and actually easier than fake tanning your legs, particularly around the feet and ankles which can sometimes hold a little too much tan or go streaky.
You can buy lovely legs and all the other Cocoa Brown products from Superdrug for £8.99.
The event was held at the Park Plaza Hotel in Westminster. As it was half term my eldest daughter Eve and I had planned a couple of days in London to do some shopping and we also went to see Wicked (amazing!) so she also came along to the Cocoa Brown event with me. To make things easier we stayed at the Park Plaza hotel and were completely blown away by our room, this was our view.
I was also very happy with the toiletries in our bathroom.
And after some hard retail therapy, we came back to our room to be greeted by these complimentary treats.
Here’s a picture of Eve and I. The first thing I thought when I saw this picture was of course, Eve looks beautiful but secondly, how puffy my face is. I often have people asking if diet and dehydration can affect your skin and appearance and this picture clearly shows it. The day before we were so busy I didn’t drink much (even though I was making sure Eve did) and I also had a carb overload, both too much carbohydrates and dehydration can cause water retention and make you puffy, so if you do suffer from puffiness, take a look at your diet.
I also had the opportunity to chat with Marissa Carter who is extremely lovely and glamorous. I especially love that she’s a working mum, there are so many of us mum entrepreneurs these days and she’s extremely inspiring to show that you can run an incredibly successful business while juggling motherhood.
