Firstly please forgive the very tired, red eyes, it’s not from the treatment, for some reason I hardly slept last night.
This morning I was booked in to have LVL Lashes at Touch of Beauty salon in South Wales. I’d heard about LVL lashes, seen some before and after pictures and so I took a look on the Nouveau Beauty Group website for a salon close to me, after a little research I decided on Touch of Beauty.
I first had to have a patch test which I had just over a week ago with no problems. While I was there, Rachel explained to me how the procedure would work, the basics are your lashes are kind of taped up, a relaxer is put on your lashes to loosen them and remove their current shape, then a solution is applied so that your lashes stay in the new shape formed by taping them up. You then have your lashes tinted. It’s kind of like eyelash perming but without using the little rods.
When I arrived today I was taken in to a lovely little room and prepared for my treatment. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I had eyelash extensions a few years ago which was not a pleasant experience as they tape your eyelids open, this treatment however was extremely relaxing. I laid with my eyes closed while Rachel did her thing and we chatted away, it was amazing how quickly the time went by actually, the treatment took about an hour and I happily laid there for that hour doing nothing. After the treatment a serum was applied and I was told not to wet my lashes for 2 hours, not to wear mascara for 24 hours and not to use any spa treatments such as saunas for 48 hours. I have to say that Rachel was a credit to the training at the Nouveau Beauty Group and I highly recommend that if you have this treatment, you choose a salon registered on their website.
So the results, I’m ecstatic!! They look even better than I imagined. I have quite long eyelashes but they’re not defined at all, I’ve always said that if they could look as good as they do with mascara all the time then I’d feel a lot more confident without make-up, now they look beautiful, long and natural. If like me you don’t have much time before the school run but hate having to walk past all the women who are already looking immaculate (you know the ones) then get this treatment because you’ll look fab without having made any effort, natural beauty all the way!
The treatment lasts up to 6 weeks depending on the rate your lashes grow. It cost me £38 at this salon but prices vary as far up as £75 depending on your area (when I lived in London I had my hair and beauty treatments done in Wales when I came back for a visit, so much cheaper!). This is most definitely a treatment I’ll be having regularly.
Edit – My best friend now offers this treatment in her salon so I have them done regularly at Transition Ammanford.
