Damage Reverse™Restorative Hair Treatment

You may have read my New Year’s Resolution last year was to get my hair in better shape. From years of bleaching, dying, straightening and curling, my hair really was looking dull, lifeless and frazzled. I always complained about my hair but unlike in my teenage years where I religiously treated my hair, I hardly ever used a hair masque.

I had read a review about this masque on, now when I choose products I try and find a review by someone with the same hair/skin as me, I have very thick hair and lots of it and as Huda looks like she has similar hair, I decided to give this a try and I’m so glad I did!

I actually bought the newer version Damage Reverse™Restorative Hair Treatment Plus which has a lighter smell, it does have a kind of sweet tobacco smell and although I’m not a smoker and I really dont like the smell of cigarettes, I did actually find something comforting about this, maybe it’s because my Granddad smoked a pipe who knows? Anyway after the first use it really does leave your hair a lot softer, shiny and manageable and with further use, it completely transformed my hair. I used it once a week for about 4 months (the large pots really do last ages, even on my thick hair) and it wasn’t until I ran out that I noticed how much of a difference it made, I went about 3 weeks without the treatment and my hair just wasn’t as soft or shiny.

To use I gently brush my hair, I scoop out some of the formula which is a hard butter that melts with body temperature and I apply from the middle right down to the ends of my hair, I avoid my roots as my scalp can be oily, then pop on a shower cap. I leave it on for 30 minutes but if your hair is very damaged I’d suggest leaving it on longer, even overnight.

1 year on and I don’t have to use it so often, I now use it once every 2 weeks.

If you have dry, damaged hair I really would recommend this treatment, or if you want something to keep your hair in peak condition, again I’d recommend it, I will never be without it.

The Damage Reverse™Restorative Hair Treatment Plus that I originally tried is £34 for 100ml. And the Damage Reverse™ Restorative Hair Treatment  is £18 for 50ml or £34 for 100ml. If you try it, let me know what you think.
