This is another Rimmel product I really like and dare I say it, I actually like it more than the Dior BB cream, simply because this one has slightly lighter coverage and is more suited to oily skin types. And best of all, it costs only £6.99!
I’m not sure I’d go as far as saying it leaves the skin looking matte but it’s not one that leaves the skin looking dewy and shiny. I will be honest, I do use my hourglass mineral primer underneath and hourglass powder lightly dusted on top (really need to blog about them too) but I have used it without, it doesn’t last as long without the primer but it does last long enough to look good most of the day.
My main complaint about it is the colour choice, look at the variance between light and medium.
I have medium which is pretty dark, I can only get away with this when I have a dark fake tan on, I haven’t tried the lighter one but looking at the colour it’s going to be too pale unless I don’t wear any fake tan (haha as if, it’s not Halloween yet!). Of course I could buy the light and blend the both which I may do but that really is more hassle than I can be bothered with if I’m honest. I wore it today and just feel that it’s too dark considering we’re autumn, it was fine for summer but I tend to use a lighter fake tan in the autumn/winter.
As far as the quality goes, I’m really surprised that such a cheap product looks so good on the skin, it just goes to show that you really don’t need to spend a fortune on products to get great quality. If you have problem skin and want a BB cream with a nice medium coverage, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a go. I bought mine from ASOS
